Team News
Rotherham: boss Ronnie Moore has a shortage of strikers, with Alan Lee (hamstring) and Darren Byfield (ankle) both doubtful.
Veteran forward Mark Robins and youngster Andy Monkhouse could come in. Martin McIntosh is doubtful because of a swollen Achilles and Chris Sedgwick may miss out with a knee problem.
Wolves: are expected to travel with the same squad from the 1-0 defeat at Leicester.
The game is expected to come too early for goalkeeper Michael Oakes to make his comeback from a shoulder injury.
Big Match In Doubt
Wolves match against Division One leaders Portsmouth on Saturday 12th October at Molineux, could be postponed due to international commitments. Both sides are likely to lose players called up by their countries.
Wolves will probably be without Nathan Blake (Wolves), Ivar Ingimarsson (Iceland) and Joleon Lescott (England Under-21).
Portsmouth are likely to be missing Carl Robinson (Wales), Svetoslav Todorov (Bulgaria) and Matt Taylor and Gary O'Neil (England Under-21).

Match Reaction
Wolves boss Dave Jones said after yesterday's defeat: "It was very frustrating today. They only had one shot, a penalty which was a very bad one to give away.
"We had talked in the build-up about Dickov getting under our feet and that is exactly what happened. He is a tricky player and a defender left a leg out and Dickov fell over it.
"We had lots of possession but couldn't do anything with it. We lacked that quality ball into the box. We moved the ball well but it was always our final pass which let us down."

Team News
Leicester: are giving late fitness tests to Brian Deane and Andrew Impey.
Impey looks most doubtful for the Foxes as he is still struggling to recover from the groin injury he picked up last week, while Deane is being plagued by persistent back and groin problems.
Leicester, who are yet to drop a point at home this season, will make a new club record if they secure three points on Saturday but boss Micky Adams has warned against complacency and says this will be City's toughest test to date.
Wolves: boss Dave Jones is expected to name an unchanged team with youngster Matt Murray continuing in goal with Michael Oakes still ruled out with a shoulder injury.
Murray impressed in the 4-0 win over Preston in midweek and the 21-year-old now has the chance to establish himself as the regular number one. Paul Butler and Denis Irwin have both recovered from knocks.

Wolves midfielders Mark Kennedy and Keith Andrews are back training with the first-team, but they are a long way off of a competitive return to the first team

Wolves boss Dave Jones said: "They have got to get stronger and fitter. They have both missed the hard pre-season training session we had and they are playing catch-up."
25th September 2002
Match Reaction
Wolves boss Dave Jones said after the match last night: "It was a job well done.
"We rode our luck at times and 4-0 might have been a bit harsh on Preston.
"We are always capable of scoring - the problem has been at the other end. A lot has been said about us and everything is black and white here. When we win, we are brilliant. When we lose, we are slammed. There's no middle ground.
"We believed in ourselves a bit more than we have been and we now need to use this as a platform."

Match Reaction
Wolves boss Dave Jones said after yesterday's defeat which saw the Wolves players booed off at half-time and full-time.
"We need the fans here to stick with us through what is a poor spell.
"We are going through a bad patch and the talk at half-time among some of the younger players was of the way they were booed off at the end of the first half.
"Paul Butler was brought off because the fans were focusing on one player rather than the team. No player needs that.
"Butts was angry because he didn't want to come off but he wants no favours from anybody. Everybody was waiting for him to make a mistake.
"It just happens that all of our central defenders, and many other players in the club, are going through a bad patch. We are short of confidence and just need a win to get us going again."

Connelly Set For Move
Wolves defender Sean Connelly is set to complete a move to Division Two Tranmere Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
Connelly has fallen out of favour at Molineux and has yet to feature this season and only made a handful of appearances for Wolves last season.
Wolves boss Dave Jones said: "Sean wants first-team football and that is something I cannot give him. Rovers are looking to complete a permanent deal for him but I understand his agent is also talking to a number of other clubs.
"Sean is a good, hard working professional and I have worked with him for a long time. A fee has to be finalised but obviously I hope everything goes to plan for Sean."

Match Reaction
Wolves boss Dave Jones said after the defeat at Crystal Palace: "This is probably the most goals I've ever conceded as a manager in such a short space of time.
"Normally it has been a good hunting ground for me here. I've usually come away with something.
"But we've just not performed in the two games here. We were poor. To come away from home and score two goals should be enough to get something.
"But we've not been tight enough defensively. It's downright sloppiness. Too many performances are poor at the moment and we've got to shake ourselves out of it.
"We'll regroup now and get back to basics on the training ground."

Loans and Injuries
Loans: Wolves have sent two of their young stars out on loan to Kidderminster Harriers, Central defender Mark Clyde and midfielder JJ Melligan start their loan period tomorrow and it lasts a calendar month.
JJ Melligan said on WOW: "I’m very excited about the move. I’ve got a chance to play first team football and get some valuable experience so I can’t wait.
"When Colin (Larkin) was at Kidderminster he told me a bit about the club and said that the lads there were sound. I’ve been out on loan before and so I know the score."
Mark added: "The other good thing is that the two of us are going together so there will be at least one familiar face when we turn up for training."
Injuries: Dean Sturridge suffered a bruised calf in last night’s Worthington Cup game at Swansea, that's why he was substituted after 74 minutes. He visited the physio this morning at Molineux and it's not serious and he should be OK for Saturday. Joleon Lescott was just rested last night and Wolves didn't pick up any other injuries.
Keith Andrews hopes to be involved in full training sessions soon. At the moment he is training with the physio’s after having surgery on a knee problem, which affected the very end of his 2001/02 season.
Mark Kennedy was filmed training so he could have another consultation with his Belgium specialist via video. Pictures were taken at various angles so that his doctor can see how he is is progressing as he recovers from surgery to his groin. Kennedy underwent Surgery in late July and was given a recuperation period of at least 12 weeks.
Match Reaction
Dave Jones has praised his team after Wolves went through to the second round of the Worthington Cup, beating Swansea last night.
He said on WOW “We got the ball forward well and when you score two or three away from home, really you expect to go on and win the game.”
“It was a silly free kick to give away but then it’s pleasing that they didn’t score both from free play.<
“I felt we didn’t get a foothold in the game until the second half but all credit to them they got the ball forward well and certainly gave our defenders a bashing.”
“Their goalkeeper pulled off some great saves. He looked more like 21 years of age rather than the wrong end of the twenties!”
“I knew what to expect and we got it. This is a tight ground, I came here many times with Stockport and it’s never easy to stake a claim.
“With a bit of care we should and could have put the game out of sight but as a manager I can’t complain when my team has scored three goals, the only thing I would say is that we need to be tighter than we have been over the last few games.”
He was asked how seriously he takes the Worthington Cup. “Our priority is the League but confidence breeds when you’re winning games and a good run in any cup is good for the club. Not only will it bring in revenue but it will give the team a confidence boost.
“To me, it’s just important that we have got back to winning ways. It is disappointing that we gave away two goals but then I can’t really blame anyone but the ref for the second as Ludo was robbed.”
The Wolves boss was also asked why Pollet replaced Lescott, he responded: “I have 20-odd players in my squad and I just thought it was time to give him a try, there were no injuries or anything.”

Rae Could Be International Answer
Boss Dave Jones believes Wolves midfielder Alex Rae could be the man to get troubled Scotland back on track, after their embarrassing 2-2 draw against the Faroe Islands last weekend.
Jones believes 32-year-old Rae could be the answer to embattled coach Berti Vogts' problems, and will invite the German to Molineux to watch the midfielder.
Jones said: "Alex has had a super start to this campaign and I think the manager should come and have a look at him.
"He shouldn't be disregarded because of his age. Even if your plan is to work with the youngsters, a few older heads along the way can help that.
"I haven't spoken to Berti but I will be giving him a call and inviting him to a game.''
9th September 2002
Youth Results
Wolves under 17s continued their winning start with a 2-0 over Crewe Alexandra. Adam Welsh headed Wolves in front after 63 minutes and Chris Cornes scored with another header 10 minutes later.

International's
Wolves defender Joleon Lescott nearly scored in his Under-21 debut in England's 1-1 draw with Yugoslavia at Bolton's Reebok Stadium. Lescott came off the bench with five minutes left and headed against the bar with the last effort of the match.
Striker Nathan Blake didn't get to play in Wales' Euro 2004 qualifier in Finland, he stayed on the bench as Mark Hughes' side won 2-0.
Defender Mark Clyde didn't have such a good game for Northern Ireland under-21 team, he scored an own goal in a 1-1 draw with Scotland in a friendly at St Mirren's Love Street ground.
7th September 2002
Injury Update
Wolves goalkeeper Michael Oakes will resume full training this weekend following a rib injury and should be fit for Wolves Worthington Cup match against Swansea next week.
Oakes would have missed tomorrow's match against Preston if it hadn't been postponed due to international commitments, and so he is expected to return in goal next Wednesday.
Midfielder Paul Ince is also expected to return for the Swansea game after missing the last two games with a knee injury.
6th September 2002
No Building Work This Season
Wolves are not going to increase the size of Molineux during this season, they looked at plans to provide an extra 3,000 seats by filling in two of the corners with temporary seating because of the demand for tickets towards the end of last season. And despite near capacity crowds so far this season the idea has been shelved.
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: "There were plans last season to install temporary seating for the last two homes games."
"But only when promotion AND the prospect of staying in the Premiership for a sustained period is apparent will we sit down and look at increasing the ground long term.
"If that happens I would personally like to see Molineux as a stadium of 40,000-plus minimum and I think we could justify it.
"But at the moment there is simply no point as we are getting crowds of 27,000 in a ground that holds 28,500."
Shirts Available Again
Wolves have restocked their shelves with the new home shirts after they sold out of them during the first week of its launch.
Fans queued outside the Molineux club shop from the early hours of the morning on the 2nd August when the new kit went on sale. And the stores quickly sold out of all stock and even stripped window displays as they ran out.
But now both the Molineux and Dudley Street stores have new stocks of the shirts in excpet for XXL size, they should be back in stock shortly.
5th September 2002
Cooper's Reserve Ban
The red card Kevin Cooper received during Wolves pre-season game against Sporting Lisbon will only keep him out of reserve action.
Wolves have been informed that Cooper must serve a two-match ban but Wolves boss Dave Jones is delighted that the suspension is only relevant for reserve-team games.
He said: "We were concerned when we heard the referee had reported the red card but we are obviously pleased the ban won't rule Kevin out of any first-team games."
Fixture Update
Wolves have announced a new date for the postponed match against Preston.
The home fixture will now take place on Tuesday 24th September 24 with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Tickets that were bought for the original date will be valid for the rearranged fixture but if you are unable to make the new date, the ticket office will be happy to offer you a full refund.
4th September 2002
Reserves Match Off
This evening's reserves match at Preston has had to be called off, the team coach got caught in the traffic chaos on the M6 that followed the tragic pile-up this morning and the coach broke down after overheating.
The motorway was closed north of Stoke and the coach tried an alternative route but the roads around the motorway were gridlocked.
No new date has yet been arranged for the game.
3rd September 2002
Another Keeper On Trial
Wolves are giving a trial to Spanish goalkeeper Juan Tobena this week, but say that American keeper Ian Feuer is not having a trial at Molineux. 24-year-old Tobena spent two years with Real Valladolid before moving to Torremolinos earlier on this year and was recommended to Wolves who will be having a close look at him.
2nd September 2002
Match Postponed

1st September 2002
Match Reaction
Wolves boss Dave Jones was not a happy man after yesterday's match, he said: "Our passing was sloppy. We started sloppy and we finished sloppy. This must be considered as a bit of a wake-up call for us as we are not always going to get our own way.
"If you don't do the job properly and close the ball down, a team such as Wimbledon will score against you. They deserve their victory.
"They ran and chased and made it difficult for us, so not one of us today could be considered to have earned his corn."
But the Wolves boss had good things to say about debutant goalkeeper Matt Murray. “I feel sorry for the youngster, he didn’t have a shot to save. The only thing he had to do was pick the ball out of the net three times.
“I thought he did very well. The kid didn’t have a chance with the three goals. The defenders as a team didn’t make it easy for him. I think we were in possession every time they scored, we just gave it away.
“Matt was the only player on the day."
